About Us

Located on ten acres in orchard country, the 1848 farmhouse and its converted barns, sheds, and gardens form the heart of the residency. Trails, orchards, and nearby Bare Hill Pond frame a landscape where artists can reset and create.

Greenhut is a creative residency founded in 2025 by Meredith Combs McAlister and Dana Notine, carrying forward a family legacy of arts patronage. “Greenhut” is both a name and a nod: to nature, to growth, to abundance.

Who We Are

Meredith Combs McAlister (Founder)
An art historian and philanthropist, Meredith holds a BA in Art History from Brandeis and a Master’s in Library and Information Science from Simmons, with a concentration in Cultural Heritage Informatics. She is President of the Further Forward Foundation, which supports arts, education, and Jewish causes, and serves on the Board of Advisors at the Rose Art Museum.
