Greenhut Artist Residency is an emerging residency program created to provide space and community for creatives of all artistic disciplines.

Our program will host three five-week long residencies per year and accommodate up to six residents per session. All art forms are welcome and our studios will easily meet the needs of painters, sculptors, photographers, musicians, and writers. There is room for outdoor performances and activations on the spacious property. Our program will be open to artists of all career stages.

In addition to the workspace, residents will have the opportunity to attend professional development workshops, lectures, and critiques. They will also participate in an Open Studios event and an exhibition of their work, both of which will be open to the public. Our aim is to open doors and foster the creation of art.

The program’s namesake is an homage to Clara Greenhut, Meredith’s great grandmother, whose philanthropy inspired decades of arts patronage in the Greenhut, Malloy, and Combs families. Furthermore the name’s verdant association with the color green is evocative of nature, growth, and abundance. Greenhut Artist Residency was founded by Meredith Combs McAlister and Dana Notine in 2025. We anticipate hosting our first cycle of residents in the Spring of 2026.
