Meredith Combs McAlister
FOUNDER & EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
An art historian and philanthropist, Meredith holds a BA in Art History from Brandeis and a Master’s in Library and Information Science from Simmons, with a concentration in Cultural Heritage Informatics. She is President of the Further Forward Foundation, which supports arts, education, and Jewish causes, and serves on the Board of Advisors at the Rose Art Museum.
Dana Notine
COFOUNDER, CURATOR AND DIRECTOR OF PROGRAMS
Dana is an independent curator and art historian based in Harvard, MA. She has curated exhibitions at Hauser & Wirth, Established Gallery, Ki Smith Gallery, and Longwood Art Gallery. She earned her MA in Art History from Hunter College (CUNY), where she wrote her thesis on Josh Harris’s Quiet: We Live in Public. Her experience spans organizations like Hunter College Art Galleries, The Brooklyn Museum, and Art21, and her writing has appeared in Assemblage Journal, Whitehot Magazine, and The Brooklyn Rail.

Ann Sheffer, president
Ann Sheffer has been deeply engaged with arts organizations at the local, state, and national levels for decades, serving in leadership, philanthropic, and advisory roles that highlight her commitment to cultural development and public access to the arts. Her work spans from grassroots community groups to influential government committees, and she has consistently focused on strengthening both non-profit arts institutions and public funding for culture. She has a long family tradition of supporting the arts and culture, through philanthropy, board memberships, and advisory roles.
Julia Hardy, treasurer
Julia Hardy is a Senior Manager at Deloitte & Touche in the Audit & Assurance department, where she has worked since 2013. She is a certified public accountant in the state of Massachusetts. In her free time she enjoys riding her horse, Leggs and spending time with her husband and family.
Justin Romeo, secretary
Justin Romeo is an accomplished arts administrator with over two decades of experience supporting executive leadership in premier cultural institutions. He currently serves as Director of Administration at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, following nearly two decades at the Whitney Museum of American Art. Justin brings a deep commitment to fostering institutional growth and cultural impact.
