What is Greenhut?
Greenhut is an artist residency program created to provide time, space, and community to emerging artists, writers, and scholars. Founded in 2025 by Meredith Combs McAlister and Dana Notine, Greenhut carries forward a legacy of arts patronage inspired by Meredith’s great-grandmother, Clara Greenhut.
“Greenhut” is both a name and a nod: to nature, to growth, to abundance.
