Testimonials
-
"My time at Greenhut was exceptionally restorative, and gave me the energy and inspiration to fuel my art practice for months to come. The living and working facilities are beautifully curated for the habits of a working artist."
-
"I would absolutely recommend Greenhut Artist Residency to anyone who is looking for a supportive and relaxing environment where they can connect with likeminded artists and have the freedom to expand their making."
-
"The time I had at greenhut artist residency was nothing short of amazing and beautiful, it allowed me to create freely and get deeper with my artistic practice. The studio spaces were so amazing, being surrounded in nature and filled with more than enough space to create whatever I wanted. The programming was selected so perfectly and having those resources have been extremely helpful since I have left Greenhut."
-
"It was the perfect time in my professional life to attend Greenhut Artist Residency; it was filled with inspiration, productive studio time, generative conversation, and rest. The bucolic setting was perfect for me to unwind and clear my mind, and I love how I was able to structure my days however I needed. I not only completed a series and a new sculpture, but finally had open time to play, experiment, and work plein air (which I rarely do!). My experience at Greenhut really grounded me in who I am as an artist, and I feel a renewed excitement in moving forward with what I've been working on."
-
"Greenhut gave me the opportunity to focus on my practice in a way that would have been impossible otherwise. Removed from the stresses of everyday life, It felt like a return to the nest. It's a place where you're allowed to challenge yourself and grow while feeling cared for and supported. Few artists have access to the kind of space, freedom, peace, and care that Greenhut provides. It's truly a special experience I would recommend to anyone who wants to re-align themselves with their practice."
-
"My experience at Greenhut was transformative in every way. I felt supported and very lucky to have such incredible people around me during this experience. The staff was extremely professional and also very accessible for any questions or concerns. It is an inspiring place to create in, between the beautiful old house, the expansive property, and the idyllic town of Harvard."

We prefer residents to be onsite as much as possible, so they may immerse themselves fully in their creative work. All residents are expected to be on site at least 75% of the time they are here. If you have questions about this, please let us know.
-
Ideally, no. We want your time at Greenhut to be as dedicated to your creative practice as possible. We have found that some residents are able to work remotely during their time in residence, but we recommend taking time off from your job, if possible.
-
A car is not required. If residents have access to a car, we strongly recommend bringing it. Harvard is remote, but you can book a ride share or have groceries delivered. We are about a 15 minute drive to the local commuter rail station, which you can take to/from Boston.
-
Yes. There are ramps into the main house, one accessible bedroom and bathroom, and an openness to adjust as needed.
